Established by Tihomir Tonev, Wolf AutoPower is the result of more than 23 years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in German cars and performance tuning. He worked on vehicles professionally in Europe for 12 years prior to relocating to the United States. That chapter of his career culminated with building the fastest quarter-mile car in his home country of Bulgaria – a 1000hp Audi S2 that can be seen in the Project Cars(hyperlink?) section of our site
After making the jump across the Atlantic, Tihomir was employed as a technician at a Volkswagen dealership for two years. Finding the dealer’s “quantity over quality” approach troublesome and with no opportunity for following his passion for performance work, he started to look for employment elsewhere. It wasn’t long before he landed a job with the largest local German auto-performance shop. There he continued to further his passion for German performance for nine years, until the shop relocated out of town. He decided to fill the void by opening Wolf Auto Power in almost the same location as his predecessor.
Achievements
- Built the fastest quarter-mile car in Bulgaria in 2010 (1000+ hp Audi S2)
- Currently supporting the fastest Golf MK4 in Europe (1360hp – 8.70 second quarter mile @ 277.56 kmph)
- Building ‘The R33’ here in the USA (1000+ hp at the moment, but stay tuned as the end goal for this project is 1500hp)
