The story
This 2004 MK4 R32, is the first imported in the USA. This what said the first and previous owner. Originally color was Silver and now is fully re-painted and color changed with Blue AUDI TTRS by Tihomir Tonev. The final Goal is over 1400hp on street legal car with almost everything remain from the factory as interior and exterior with lightest possible replacement parts, but not removing parts to reduce weight. We currently have all ready spent over 2000 working hours and we still have things to improve.
The engine
Because we are using 3.2 engine ( not 2.9 or 3.0) for that power level, oversized to 3.3 and we had to destroy one 3.2 block in order get our calculation from it. We started low and going up. Currently the car is making near 900hp and of course already need drivetrain upgrade and new transmission. The OEM transmission last only few pulls , but we expected that.
The upgrades
Currently the R33 is running with Garrett GTX4202R Turbo , Tail DV`s , Tail Westgate, Custom build Exhaust manifold- ceramic coated , Custom Titanium 4″ Full exhaust system, Titanium charge pipes, Two custom build intercoolers, 80mm Throttle body, Custom build intake manifold- Anodized, Oil cooler and fuel cooler, Water-Methanol Injection system, custom build Fuel system, Spec carbon ceramic dual disc clutch kit, 4 pistons front brakes, H&R coilover suspension, Carbon fiber Hood and Hatch and a lot more.
The Engine internals
Oversized JE pistons with special coatings, IE Tuscan rods with special order stronger bolts and coated bearings, performance intake/exhaust valves, springs and titanium retainers, Techtonics Tuning camshafts, Ported Head, 11mm ARP Head stud kit, ARP Main caps stud kit, Exhaust manifold ARP stud kit, some Titanium bolts and nuts, Girdle from Europe, Light weight pulleys, Custom build catch-can system. All new engine internals are balanced, precisely checked and Crankshaft journals polished.
External upgrades
Carbon fiber Hood, Carbon fiber Hatch , all painted with the car color (next upgrade- both doors carbon fiber – painted), Euro front bumper with Cupra R lip, badgeless grill, Stubby mirrows from Polo, Custom Titanium wheel bolts, currently on 19″ Oettinger Wheels ( future super light weight wheels on the list).
Drivetrain upgrade
Full Drivetrain upgrade. Front and rear Limited Slip Differential, stronger axles and full transmission upgrade with custom Dog gears set and reinforced parts.
